F-22 Hangar Renovation-Building 206

The Building 206 Hangar Renovation converted an existing 22,000 square foot hangar into a fully certified open storage Special Access Program Facility that provides for the complete maintenance, repair, and overhaul of F-22 aircraft. Installed systems associated with the Special Access Program included access control and intrusion detection systems, sound attenuation, secure data and communication lines, etc. The project included architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical upgrades to the facility, including design and repair of the hydraulic systems and hardware associated with the hangar door so that the hangar door functions properly. Also, the project included complete renovation of the administrative office areas within the building, which required bringing the facility up-to-date with ADA standards. Project include: design and construction of a Special Access Program Facility; design-build project on a military installation; COE Contractor Quality Control Management; COE Safety Management; design and construction of facility integrated with specialized equipment; access control and intrusion detection systems; connection to base energy and monitoring controls; lighting, fire protection and alarm systems; civil and site improvements, including replacement of water supply lines; compliance with Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection requirements; the design and construction meets ASHRAE 90.1.
