Demolition of Building 1852

Fort Carson, Colorado

This Design-Bid-Build Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) Task Order included the demolition of the existing brigade headquarters building including asbestos remediation. The scope of work also included relocating a communications line. Specific elements consist of the demolition of an approximately 10,000 square foot building with a basement and two above grade floors. The building was mostly emptied of contents and furnishings by the government prior to demolition. Demolition also included all site work features, pavements, and utilities including the relocation of a live communications line. As-built drawings of the facility were included for information purposes. HHI developed and implemented a Demolition Plan, which included a waste management plan.
