Building 238 Clean Room
Hill Air Force Base, Utah
This Design-Build project was the repair of the B-2 clean rooms, installation of an equipment pad, and installation of two bridges cranes in Building 238 at Hill AFB, Utah. Building 238 is a secure access facility and required escorts at all times. The work area was comprised of two separate clean rooms. Work included upgrades to HVAC. The facility complied with all Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN) requirements. The fire sprinkler systems were upgraded, and both rooms were modified to allow for the installation and operation of a 10,000 lb rated bridge crane. This job also included the raising of the mason block wall, overhead door enlargements, a cast-in-place concrete isolation pad, a new roof and ceiling, and new lighting.
