Building 25 Repair, Utah ANG Base
This project comprised a level 3 alternation to Building 25, a single story, 17,000 SF building. The building contained Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM). This was abated prior to demolition work taking place. The work consisted of a complete demolition of the building’s interior. Renovation and reconfiguration of administrative and storage space met all of Utah Air National Guard’s needs. The building was built in compliance with ADA and LEED requirements. The building envelope system was improved with spray-foam insulation, new insulated blast-resistant window and entry systems to meet anti-terrorism / force protection requirements. The ballasted single-ply roof system was replaced; including soffit and fascia cladding. Previously unidentified asbestos containing materials were discovered in the roofing materials. The existing HVAC distribution and controls systems were replaced in total with high efficiency systems. Existing electrical systems were replaced and modified to meet the new space and equipment requirements. Some structural components were upgraded to meet anti-terrorism/ force-protection requirements. All new communications and fire suppression systems replaced the outdated systems. The plumbing was completely replaced, including new fixtures.
