Individual Protection Ensemble Mannequin System
Dugway Proving Grounds, Utah
The Individual Protection Ensemble (IPE) Mannequin System is used to the test and evaluate IPE performance against Chemical Warfare Agent (CWA). The IPE Mannequin simulates warfighter activities, body temperature, perspiration, and respiration.
The IPE Mannequin System incorporates real-time, or near real-time, monitoring to measure Clean Water Act (CWA) concentrations at various pre-defined locations under the IPE. The Exposure Chamber and Control Room support the operation of the IPE Mannequin. The Exposure Chamber provides a platform within which IPE testing is to be conducted in a CWA environment using the IPE Mannequin. The Exposure Chamber also provides environmental controls and CWA dissemination. The Exposure Chamber Ingress/Egress Support provides access to the Exposure Chamber while providing containment of CWA. The Control Room provides all system controls and tools needed to conduct IPEMS operations.
HHI performed the program management, test chamber design, control room design, chamber construction and control fabrication construction, commissioning, systems integration and installation, and verification testing. This renovation project was performed in an occupied government facility.
